With the landscape it is of utmost importance that i leave plenty of space for the vehicle to travel without the risk of crashing into mountains and mesas.

This is what happened when i went overboard with a concept of making the car look like a Spy plane . Besides the fact that you can barely see it, The idea is to have a vehicle traveling on the ground so there really isn't any point with using a winged Vehicle.

currently I'm working on creating a detailed environment for the background.

Background Idea Inspired by Black Rock Desert

My background is going to be inspired by a real desert located in the northwester part of Nevada called Black Rock Desert.

In this version there is a shot of the desert followed by the rocket car appearing into view this is followed by an above view then a still shot of the tail fin while . Next is a view of the cockpit from the front portion of the vehicle , then a freeze shot of one of the wheels. The Shot then changes to another camera moving along struggling to stay along the rocket car the rocket car. however eventually speeds by as it leaves the cameras field of view. Then a shot showing the rocket car leaving the scene as a Shock wave radiates from behind at the last second of the clip.

   30 seconds .
   A panning shot of the southwestern dessert. suddenly the camera changes focuse to a shadow, The shadow then the camera view changes we see a wheel and then a tail fin, a loud rumble is heard then the wheels start to move. A voice is heard the voice of a announcer There he goes on a quest to break the Current land speed record.
   


2. 
   30 seconds.
   Clip starts with rocket car already moving across the dessert with moments of time freezing and parts of the rocket are appearing. Then time goes back to real time and the car flies by a followed by a Shockwave that violently shakes the camera .
   


3. 
   1 minute.
   Clip starts with shadow followed by a series of stills of various parts of the rocket car. rocket car still image parts of the vehicle are seen before the whole vehicle is revealed then the clips suddenly you see a flame blast behind the vehicle the wheels start to move and a cloud of smoke rises in the back as the car starts to speed up. Camera moves forward several seconds later and the scene changes to the rocket car screaming across the dessert with a blast of a dust cloud surrounding the vehicle as it breaks the sound barrier .
   


4. 
   40 seconds .
   Shot one the salt flats of Nevada quiet and tranquil. Suddenly you hear a sonic boom and see a see a dot in the distance appears as if its still though the dot appears to get closer and a shape emerges, suddenly a close up and you realize that it is a rocket car is moving fast, very fast. Shot changes to another camera that camera moves along struggling to stay along the rocket car the rocket car. however speeds by as it leaves the cameras field of view. Then a shot from the sky shows the rocket car speeding across the salt flats. With white smoke trailing behind it.

A rough sequence of a few of the shots

Here is rough idea of the sequence of shots .

Shot 1
The animation would start as a shot of the desert .
Shot 2
Then a shot of of a shadow, the shadow being that of a rocket car.
Shot 3
A switch is pressed.
Shot 4
Smoke (or steam) slowly billows out of the rocket nozzle at the end of the car.
Shot 5
Suddenly a flame shoots out expands then contracts .
Shot 6
The wheels start to move.
Shot 7
Slowly the Rocket car starts to accelerate.
Shot 8
Picking up speed the rocket car travels down the desert surface .
Shot 9
Inside the car the view suddenly starts to shake.
Shot 10
The car starts to accelerate to over now reaching over 500 miles an hour.
Shot 11
A view of the car from high above the desert floor shows a huge dust cloud trailing behind the rocket car.

another distant shot a few miles away
suddenly a loud sonic boom is heard the car has just broken the sound barrier.

the rocket car then starts to coast down the desert as the rocket motor shuts down.
Or the car vanishes leaving a trail of flames down the desert (kind of similer to what happens in back to the future when the Deloria travels through time).

if the car is still there it A parachute is deployed decreasing the deceleration of the car .

The vehicle will look similar in design to the vehicle pictured below though there will be detailes unique to mine.










the illusion of speed will also be an important factor















there are several dessert backgrounds i will need to choose from flat desserts with no mountains
to mountains in the background or possibly even the use of a salt flat instead of a typical dessert.

another project idea is of a rocket car racing through the dessert, details included in this project will be a detailed landscape, Realistic flames, and the illusion of heat rising up from the ground, similar to those seen in star wars episodes 1 and 4 on the planet towtowin

first day in the world of blogging

need to find a projects for thesis. I have several options iv set up one is of a beer advertisement done in 3D animation. The other is of a bird flying over water or a fish swimming in the ocean. there will be other ideas arriving soon.
